We stayed at the immaculately clean and modern room with plenty of wardrobe space, excellent breakfast plus the smallest bathroom in New Zealand To see into the mirror. The location for Nelson was great and stunning, right by park where the very first NZ rugby match was staged and the Botanical Gardens. It also was up to the "Centre of New Zealand ".

I must say, I was absolutely charmed by the decoration at this enchanting B&B. The colonial 2 storey home had such a beautiful and traditional feel to it, with stunning views of the mountains and river. The general areas were so comfortable and inviting, especially the guest sitting room where I enjoyed some lovely conversations with other guests. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The walk to the city center was just a few pleasant minutes away, passing by many fascinating colonial homes and buildings. It was so convenient to explore Nelson and all it had to offer.
If I were to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be for the children working there to provide more assistance with WiFi connectivity. The limited WiFi in the bedrooms meant that we could only use it in the common living room.

The breakfast at the inn was absolutely delicious with farm fresh eggs and fresh fruits and vegetables. It was like starting the day with a burst of energy. We stayed in the Greenwood room and it had the quirkiest bathroom. It was so tiny that to see into the mirror, you had to straddle the toilet. It was definitely a unique experience!
The television in the room was quite small and I wish they had a bigger one. The tiny size made it difficult to fully enjoy watching anything.
